Welcome to the most important section of my website.

I'm Dr. Harpreet Singh Manaktala, I'm super excited to have you here.

If you're here, it's likely that you're either dealing with a tooth-related issue or you're someone who wants to prevent such problems from arising in the future.

I being a dentist, totally understand that the cost of dental treatments can be prohibitively expensive, and not everyone can afford them.

Dental treatments can be expensive, but there are ways to save money by taking care of your teeth at home. By investing in the right resources, you can prevent cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues that can lead to costly dental procedures. Here are our top affordable recommendations that can save you money in the long run.

Let me tell you a small truth, ideally dental treatment is NOT expensive but your neglect is.

So, let's dive in and explore my top picks for affordable dental resources that can help you maintain healthy teeth and prevent costly dental procedures.

Many of the things your dentist might not have told you about. From toothbrushes to mouthwash, I've got you covered.

1.Toothpaste:

A good toothpaste is a crucial part of any oral hygiene routine, but with so many options on the market, it can be tough to know which one to choose. That's why I'm excited to recommend you a top pick for a toothpaste that can help you keep your teeth healthy and prevent cavities.

My recommended toothpaste not only contains fluoride but also contains xylitol, a mineral that helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent decay.

What sets this toothpaste apart from others on the market is its formula, which is gentle yet effective. It's free from harsh chemicals that can irritate sensitive teeth and gums, making it suitable for a wide range of users.

Your dentist might have not recommended you this toothpaste.

If you've read my blog post on Say Goodbye to Tooth Decay: The Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Best Toothpaste, i talk in great detail on how to select your toothpaste.

This is a squigle enamel saver toothpaste.

2. Tooth Brush

Next i would like to talk about tooth brush. Now there are a lot of myths surrounding brushing of your teeth.

Some of you believe this "Harder brushing is better for your teeth."

Let me tell you a fact about this.

Fact: Contrary to popular belief, brushing your teeth harder doesn't mean they'll be cleaner. In fact, brushing too hard can ACTUALLY CAUSE DAMAGE to your gums and tooth enamel. It's essential to brush your teeth gently, using circular motions and a soft-bristled toothbrush.

(I've written an ebook on myths and lies about your teeth you probably didn't knew about, you can read it here.)

Now imagine if you're brushing too hard, what will happen?

You'll actually remove the protective enamel layer of teeth causing sensitivity, cavities and more.

So what's the solution?

I highly advice you to switch your tooth brush from manual to electronic.

Electric toothbrush: While electric toothbrushes may seem pricey, they are worth the investment as they can remove more plaque than manual toothbrushes.

The above tooth brush comes with a pressure sensor, so if you're pressing too hard, it will let you know, apart from this it also has a timer, so it will tell you how long you need to brush your teeth. Click here to visit amazon now.

3. Water flosser

The next thing I'd recommend you is to go buy a water flosser. As in my previous posts i have been talking about flossing. Dental flossing is a crucial aspect of any oral hygiene routine, but traditional flossing methods can be time-consuming and often ineffective.

I'd recommend you go buy this.

Water flossers use a stream of pressurized water to clean between teeth and along the gum line, removing plaque and debris that traditional flossing can miss.

I'd be adding a separate post on water flossers shortly, which you can read.

4. Tongue Scraper.

Suffering from bad breath?

Consider cleaning your tongue. A tongue scraper can help remove bacteria and debris from your tongue, reducing bad breath.

If you youtube you'll find out videos on how to use tongue scraper, which will help you out.

5. Xylitol Chewing gums

As i have previously already told you about advantages of xylitol, it can help remineralize superficial cavities, I'd recommend you to chew these gums as it will not only freshen your breath, stimulate saliva production which will which neutralizes acid and prevents tooth decay.

The chewing gum which I'm recommending you is 100% xylitol, asparatame free, vegan and safe even for diabetics.

Consuming xylitol based chewing gums regularly will help remineralize superficial cavities, this is useful for those who have caries active mouth (lot of small cavities).

Thank you for your time reading this. This list would be updated frequently, as i can even recommend you more items. Be sure to check this out frequently, as more and more links would be added.
